Untersucht werden die Sage ber die Wilis in Elementargeister' von Heinrich Heine als Vorlage des Balletts Giselle ou les Wilis' und das Mrchen Nuknacker und Mauseknig' von Ernest Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann als Vorlage fr das Ballett Der Nuknacker'. Dabei soll die Rezeptionsgeschichte eines literarischen Werks und seine Transformation in ein anderes Ausdruckspektrum untersucht werden. Der methodische Ansatz dieser Untersuchung sieht vor, dass zwei literarische Vorlagen zweier verschiedener Autoren und Genres erfasst werden, die aber einer gleichen literarischen Stilrichtung angehren. Auf diese Weise knnen magebende Vergleiche durchgefhrt werden. Die Fragestellung der Arbeit Gattungstransformation zu untersuchen bedeutet explizit, dass Ballettlibretti ausgewhlt werden, die eine literarische Vorlage haben, und die nicht speziell und gezielt fr die Bhne geschaffen wurden. Anhand der genannten Werke werden die besonderen Kriterien der Transformation der literarischen Vorlagen in Ballettlibretti erarbeitet.
