Da die Bevlkerung sich eine unabhngige Meinung ber Schuld oder Unschuld des Angeklagten macht, vermag sie die Reputation einer Person zu strken oder zu zerstren. Dies kann dazu fhren, dass der Wert eines Imageschadens hher ist, als der eigentliche Streitwert eines juristischen Verfahrens. Daraus entsteht die Notwendigkeit der Einfhrung einer neuen Form der ffentlichkeitsarbeit: der Litigation PR. Litigation PR bezeichnet die strategische ffentliche Kommunikation im Zusammenhang mit rechtlichen Verfahren und soll dazu dienen, dass sich das Gerichtsverfahren durch den Einsatz gezielter Medienarbeit positiv auf das Urteil und den Ruf des Mandanten auswirkt. Die vorliegende Studie setzt sich mit der ffentlichkeitsarbeit im Rechtsstreit auseinander. Sie soll die Litigation PR unter Bercksichtigung ihrer Aufgaben, Ziele und Methoden prsentieren und herausstellen, ob sie hinsichtlich ihrer Funktion als Beeinflussungsdienstleister ein geeignetes Instrument ist, um einen gerechten Ausgang eines Prozesses sowohl vor Gericht, als auch in der ffentlichkeit zu beeinflussen. About the Author Nadine Maier wurde 1988 in Backnang geboren. Nach dem Abitur studierte sie an der Hochschule Mittweida Angewandte Medienwirtschaft mit dem Schwerpunkt PR und Kommunikationsmanagement. Ihr Studium schloss sie 2011 mit dem akademischen Grad Bachelor of Arts erfolgreich ab. Whrend ihres Studiums sammelte die Autorin umfassende praktische Erfahrungen im journalistischen Bereich sowie in der PR und ffentlichkeitsarbeit. Aufgrund ihres studentischen Praktikums in einer OnlineRedaktion entwickelte Frau Maier groes Interesse an dem Zusammenspiel von PR, Journalismus und ffentlichkeit. Als einige Zeit spter das Verfahren gegen den Wettermoderator Jrg Kachelmann erffnet wurde und eine Medienlawine losbrach, entschied die Autorin, sich im vorliegenden Buch dieser Thematik zu widmen.
