The book is a fictional story for children about discovering and preserving a segment of Hawaii's past pertaining to sugar cane trains. Telling first of the trains' abandonment, then being discovered thereby creating an effort to bring the trains back to life, and then showing how the past has been recreated in the preserving of these sugar cane trains. The story's characters are trucks and trains.
