While I appreciated the comparative aspect of the book, I found some sections a bit superficial for my tastes. It’s good for an intro to conifers, but those looking for deeper scientific insights might be a bit disappointed. Still a decent read!

Disappointing Quality Control
I received my copy of "Lives of Conifers" but the binding was already coming apart when I unwrapped it. I was really looking forward to this book, but it seems like it might not last long. Really disappointing experience.

Not What I Expected
I was looking for something more practical for my landscaping work. This book is more of a comparative study and less of a guide. It’s interesting but not exactly what I needed for my projects. Delivery also took longer than expected.

A Must-Read for Tree Enthusiasts
As a biology teacher, I found "Lives of Conifers" absolutely fascinating! It offers an in-depth look at different coniferous trees with clear comparisons that my students appreciate. The illustrations are a great touch too, really brings the content to life!

Great Reference Book for Research
I picked up this book for my dendrology research and it's been quite helpful. The comparative account of coniferous trees lets me easily reference specific species. However, I would've loved more photographs throughout the chapters.
