Living with Uncertainty is the dominant theme in the narratives of Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMWs) in pursuing better lives in the USA. First they face the challenge of settling in a new country without any established contacts. Second are the uncertainties they face in their jobs and housing. Third is uncertainty about when and how they will return to Indonesia to reunite with their families. This research is a firsthand and indepth look at undocumented Indonesian workers in this country. Compared to similar research on Chinese, Mexican, and Vietnamese workers, this research posits an early research that provides an original narrative about working conditions of undocumented Indonesian workers in the USA.
