I found the book really informative and it has a lot of details about different species. However, at times it feels like it gets a bit too technical for a casual reader. If you’re really into herpetology, it’s perfect, but I was hoping for a lighter read. Still, happy to have it in my collection!

Great Guide for Local Reptile Enthusiasts
This book is a fantastic resource for anyone interested in the lizards and turtles of South Central Texas. The illustrations are vivid, and I appreciate how it covers both common and rare species. It's been super helpful for my kids' school projects, too. Highly recommend it to fellow nature lovers!

Not What I Expected
I was a little disappointed with this book. The pictures looked nice, but some species descriptions were confusing, and I thought I’d find more practical info for spotting them in the wild. Packaging arrived fine, but it just didn’t meet my expectations for a field guide.
