Las sociedades contemporneas se hallan inmersas en un trnsito hacia la industrializacin del saber, la materializacin del quehacer cotidiano y la bsqueda de nuevas formas para la representacin e interaccin del sujeto. Es por eso que esta investigacin da cuenta de un acercamiento hacia la manera cmo, desde el campo de la comunicacin y la construccin de memoria histrica, es posible estudiar y entender los cambios estticos y subjetivos por los que est atravesando la comunidad llanera de la vereda Remolino, municipio de Puerto Lpez, en el Departamento del Meta. Lo anterior, ampla el panorama de los objetos de estudio de la comunicacin y arroja nuevos hallazgos que permiten comprender, desde una dimensin ms amplia, las razones por las cuales fenmenos como la globalizacin logran permear los fundamentos bsicos de las comunidades y construir nuevas estticas, discursos y lgicas de interaccin entre los individuos.
