In the very beginning there was the idea for a book on the visual culture around techno music and the entrepreneurial spirit to make this book happen without being a company, publisher or even having much of a budget. The book was called Localizer 1.0 and once it was printed it became obvious that there was interest or in other words a market for this kind of content and a fresh approach to it. Based on that feedback and potential, Gestalten was founded as a company.
By changing our most important processes and
products, we have already made a big leap forward. This ranges from the
increased use of more sustainable fibers to the use of more
environmentally friendly printing processes to the development of
efficient waste management in our value chain.
