If you are a researcher or student with experience in multiple linear regression and want to learn about logistic regression, this book is for you! Informal and nontechnical, this book both explains the theory behind logistic regression and looks at all the practical details involved in its implementation using the SAS System. Several social science realworld examples are included in full detail. This book also explains the differences and similarities among the many generalizations of the logistic regression model. The following topics are covered: binary logit analysis, logit analysis of contingency tables, multinomial logit analysis, ordered logit analysis, discretechoice analysis with the PHREG procedure, and Poisson regression. Other highlights include discussions on how to use the GENMOD procedure to do loglinear analysis and GEE estimation for longitudinal binary data. Only basic knowledge of the SAS DATA step is assumed.Supports releases 6.12 and higher of SAS software.

This book has a lot of useful information, but I found some sections pretty technical and hard to digest, especially without a strong background in SAS. Still, it provides solid theories and applications that are beneficial once you get through it. It's a decent buy if you're committed!

Not for beginners
I purchased this book hoping for a beginner-friendly guide. However, I think it assumes a lot of prior knowledge about SAS and regression analysis. It’s well-written, but I struggled with some of the concepts. It might be better suited for someone with more experience.

A solid theoretical foundation
As a graduate student, I found this book invaluable for understanding logistic regression in SAS. The theory and application sections were very insightful and greatly enhanced my research project. Definitely a good investment for anyone studying stats!

Great resource for data analysis
I bought 'Logistic Regression Using the SAS System' for my statistics class, and it really helped clarify concepts. The examples are practical, and I love the way they walk through applications step-by-step. If you're into data science, this book is a must-have!

Good but needs practical examples
The book covers the theoretical aspects of logistic regression well, but I would have liked more real-life examples of how to implement the concepts in SAS. It's a good read for learning the theory, but it could be better with some hands-on exercises.
