Die militante Auslnderfeindlichkeit fordert die Gesellschaft heraus. Bei de nen, die weder klammheimliche Genugtuung noch berechnendes Verstndnis aufbringen wollen, mischt sich in das Entsetzen und die Absage an die Ge walt auch eine gewisse Ratlosigkeit, wie dem Rechtsradikalismus zu begeg nen sei. Die Lokalfunkjournalisten setzen sich mit der Gewalt und den Reak tionen in Politik und Gesellschaft auseinander. Und sie bleiben von der Rat losigkeit gerade dann nicht verschont, wenn sie sich in der Verantwortung fr ein mit zivilen Grundstzen vertrgliches Meinungsklima sehen. Die Landesanstalt fr Rundfunk hat vor diesem Hintergrund Ende Dezember 1992 das HansBredowInstitut mit der Durchfhrung einer Programmana lyse beauftragt, die mit einer verllichen Beschreibung der vorfindlichen Berichterstattung Grundlagen fr eine klrende Diskussion bereitstellen soll. Dieses Untersuchungsanliegen ist bei den Lokalfunkredaktionen und bei Radio NRW auf groes Interesse und eine ebenso groe Bereitwilligkeit ge stoen, der Studie mit Informationen und Programmaterialien zuzuarbeiten. Redakteurinnen und Redakteure haben sich trotz einer angespannten Arbeits situation in den Sendern Zeit genommen, um uns in ausfhrlichen Gespr chen die Bedingungen ihrer Arbeit zu erlutern und uns beim Erschlieen von Programmaufzeichnungen zu helfen. Unser Dank gebhrt neben den Chefredakteuren namentlich Jrn Bergmann (Radio FiV), Hakan Ekemen (Radio MK), Beate Kowollik (Radio NEWS), Kostas Mitsalis (Radio Es sen), Andrea Schltke (radio emscher lippe) und Manfred Uhl (Radio MK) fr ihre tatkrftige Untersttzung.
