Tambin contiene 100 fotografas y imgenes histricas, incluyendo varias de la coleccin privada de autor. Esta autobiografa es una compilacin de los escritos y notas de Pedro Avils Vargas, quin fue VicePresidente de la Junta Nacionalista de Nueva York y luego Secretario General de Partido Nacionalista de Puerto Rico. Trata sobre su vida desde nio campesino en Rincn, Puerto Rico, su emigracin econmica a Nueva York, donde conoci a Lolita Torresola, y de su eventual regreso a Puerto Rico. El autor relata como lleg a creer en el Nacionalismo Puertorriqueo y sobre su participacin en el Partido Nacionalista en Nueva York y Puerto Rico. Carmen Dolores Otero Cruz, conocida como Lolita, naci y vivi en Mayagez, Puerto Rico. Estudi brevemente en la Universidad de Puerto Rico y luego fue a vivir y a trabajar a Nueva York, donde conoci a Griselio Torresola. En el 1950, al caer Griselio durante el ataque a Blair House en Washington, Lolita qued viuda con una hija en infancia y un hijo en su vientre. Fue arrestada y encarcelada junto a Rosa Collazo. En el 1954, luego del ataque al Congreso Americano, Lolita Torresola fue arrestada, enjuiciada y encarcelada. En la prisin federal de Alderson, West Virginia, se encontr con Lolita Lebrn, Blanca Canales y Rosa Collazo. Al cumplir su sentencia, se reuni con sus hijos y se cas con Pedro Avils Vargas, residiendo en El Barrio de Nueva York, hasta su regreso a Puerto Rico para reorganizar al Partido Nacionalista y continuar la lucha por la Independencia de Puerto Rico. Lolita muri en el 1992. Pedro Avils Vargas naci y vivi en Rincn, Puerto Rico. Luego fue a vivir y trabajar a Nueva York, donde se uni a la Junta de Nueva York del Partido Nacionalista de Puerto Rico. Junto a Julio Pinto Ganda, Lolita Torresola y otros, estuvo envuelto en actividades que culminaron con el ataque al Congreso Americano. Fue enjuiciado y encarcelado, junto a un grupo de otros Nacionalistas, en la prisin federal de Danbury, Connecticut. Al regresar a Puerto Rico, Pedro asisti en la reorganizacin de Partido Nacionalista para continuar la lucha por la Independencia de Puerto Rico. Pedro muri en el 2001, dejando sus escritos para ser publicados a no menos de diez aos despus de su muerte.
