Lost Car Legends is an entertaining look at over 40 shuttered independent automakers from the past 75 years. From Allstate to Zimmer, noted automotive historian Pat Foster covers an incredible array of makers and their cars and what variety there was! There were wellestablished companies with thousands of employees to sham companies with nothing but a good story.Automakers covered include Allstate, Argonaut, AMC, Autoette, Avanti, Bricklin, Checker Motors, Citicar, Commutacar, Colt, Cord Automobile Company, Crosley Motors, Dale, Davis Motorcar Company, Excalibur, Fascination, Frazer, Freeway, Glassic, Henry J, Hudson, International Harvestor, Kaiser, King Midget, Markette, Mobs, Muntz Jet, Nash Motors, Packard, Playboy, Powell, Quantum, Rambler, Shay, Shelby, Stuart, Studebaker, Trivan, Tucker, Willys, Woodhill Wildfire, and Zimmer.

I picked up this book, 'Lost Car Legends', and it really took me back. Each story about the independent auto makers is fascinating! If you love cars and American history, this is a must-read. Perfect for weekend reading or just to have on the coffee table.

Not What I Expected
I guess I thought this would be more of an encyclopedia of lost cars. Instead, it's more anecdotal. Some stories are engaging, but I was hoping for more technical specs and less storytelling. It's okay, but not my favorite car book.

Disappointed with Condition on Arrival
I really wanted to love this book, but it arrived with a dented cover. The content seems interesting, but I was sad about the condition it arrived in. It’s still readable, so I’m giving it a fair rating.

Great Gift for Car Enthusiasts
I bought this book for my dad, who loves classic cars. He devoured it in a couple of days and had so many stories to tell me about those makes I’d never heard of. Good quality book, and the pictures are nice too!

Interesting but Lacks Depth on Some Models
I enjoyed 'Lost Car Legends', but I felt some stories were a bit rushed. The highlights of certain cars were well done, but I wished for more detail about their production years. Still, it’s a fun read for classic car lovers!
