Diese Vielfalt des alttestamentlichen Zeugnisses zum Thema "Israels Verhltnis zu Moab und Ammon" wirft die Frage auf, ob es im Alten Testament widersprchliche Vorstellungen ber das Verhltnis Israels zu Moab und Ammon gibt. Stellt man diese Frage in den greren Kontext von Israels Verhltnis zu den Vlkern, dann impliziert sie, ob im Alten Testament ein Widerspruch zwischen partikularistischen und universalistischen Strmungen besteht. Es stellt sich ferner die Frage, ob sich in Israels Verhltnis zu Moab und Ammon eine historische Entwicklung feststellen lsst.
