Die philosophische Kernfrage nach dem Sinn des Lebens wird anhand verschiedener Textstellen im Tractatus logicophilosophicus, im Vortrag ber Ethik und in Schriften des Sptwerks untersucht. Dabei wird eine kleine Auswahl verllicher Einfhrungs und Spezialliteratur zu Hilfe genommen. Der Schluteil vereint Elemente der Zusammenfassung, Bewertung und Schlufolgerung in sich. Wittgensteins Antwort auf die Frage nach dem Sinn des Lebens kann natrlich nicht endgltig sein. Die Arbeit stellt der Texterrterung eine kleine Skizze wichtiger Lebensstationen voran und macht die entscheidenden Brche in Wittgensteins Leben kenntlich gemacht, z. B. die Erlebnisse whrend des 1. Weltkriegs und das Kennenlernen der Mystik Tolstojs. Diese blieben nicht ohne Auswirkungen auf Wittgensteins Annherung an die Sinnfrage.
