An aviation historian examines why the Nazi fighter aces outdid the Allies in the sky. To examine the secret of the Luftwaffe pilots success, Mike Spick explores the exploits of Nazi Germanys most famous pilots, focusing on the methods and tactics of individual aces, discussing the importance of machinery, training, climate, numbers, and theater of war.

I was really looking forward to this book, but it arrived with a bent cover and some pages stuck together. I couldn't get a full read on the tactics discussed because of that. Disappointed with the shipping quality, though the content seems interesting from what I could see!

A deep dive into aerial tactics
As a history buff interested in aviation, I found this book fascinating! The detailed descriptions of the Jagdflieger’s tactics and techniques are especially engaging. It's packed with rich illustrations and photographs, which bring the stories to life. Definitely a must-read for any WWII aviation enthusiast!

Interesting but a bit dry
I enjoyed some parts of the book, especially the historical context, but I felt some sections dragged on a bit. The combat tactics were detailed but sometimes hard to follow. If you're really into Luftwaffe history, it’s worth it, but it might be a slog for casual readers.
