Scaled house plans are provided for a wide diversity of designs: Tudor, Victorian, cigar box, a multiroom palace, a turnabout house of two periods, 1870 and 1929, and even a dollhouse for a dollhouse. Mrs. O'Brien makes finishing the exteriors an exciting challenge and guides the reader stepbystep in painting, laying clapboard, shingling and thatching roofs, building doors and windows, laying stone paths and patios, and creating gardens, conservatories, fences, a garden swing and a privy.
