A practical, concise approach to utilizing the NCEP ATPIII recommendations is presented. The text contains an uptodate synopsis of the results of major trials of lipidlowering drugs and a thorough review of pharmacologic treatment options. Separate chapters cover pathophysiology, therapeutic lifestyle changes, and treatment of special populations.

As a healthcare professional, I found this book on lipid management super informative. It really breaks down complex topics in a way that’s easy to understand. I appreciate the clinical examples provided throughout—it makes applying the concepts in practice much easier.

Disappointing Format and Delivery
I was a bit let down when this book arrived. The cover had a dent, and the layout inside was somewhat cluttered, making it hard to follow. The content is useful, but the presentation could really use some work. Not what I expected for the price.

Solid Information but Lacks Depth
This book has some good insights on managing lipids in clinical settings, but I hoped for more detailed case studies. It's a decent resource if you're looking for a refresher, but don’t expect exhaustive coverage on every topic. Still good for quick references!
