Los Manifiestos de Emiliano Zapata han tenido una enorme repercusin en la historia de Mxico. De hecho, el zapatismo ha sido uno de los movimientos sociales, polticos y culturales de mayor trascendencia durante los casi 100 aos transcurridos desde su surgimiento. Al frente de un pequeo grupo de seguidores, Emiliano Zapata se sum a la rebelin nacional organizada por Francisco Ignacio Madero para derrocar al rgimen de Porfirio Daz. La rebelin zapatista arraig profundamente en el campo morelense y de ah se extendi a Puebla, Guerrero y partes del Estado de Mxico, Distrito Federal y Oaxaca. Esa rebelin se convirti en el movimiento social y poltico ms radical dentro de la Revolucin Mexicana.
