This novel had some great moments, especially when exploring the themes of community in Port William. However, the pacing was a bit slow at first. Once I got into it, I enjoyed the story, but I wish the beginning had more spark.

I recently finished reading 'The Force of a Story' by Marce Catlett, and it was an engaging experience. The characters felt real, and the way Catlett weaves the story around Port William is lovely. I found myself lost in the narrative for hours!

Not What I Expected
I wanted to love this book, but it didn’t resonate with me. The plot seemed disjointed at times, and I found it hard to connect with the characters. Maybe it's just not my style, but I couldn't get through it.
