In diesem umfangreichen enzyklopdischen Lexikon werden seltene, meist altertmliche Wrter von einem grammatikalischen, antiquarischen und etymologischen Standpunkt aus erklrt sowie durch viele Belegzitate vorwiegend aus der frhlateinischen Dichtung illustriert. Die Kenntnis dieses Werkes das uns nicht direkt berliefert wurde verdanken wir hauptschlich dem lckenhaft erhaltenen Auszug des Sextus Pompeius Festus (2.
