So definierte der rmische Rhetoriklehrer Quintilian die Rhetorik. In der Antike begrndet, spielt sie bis heute noch eine wichtige Rolle fr Reden jeglicher Art und wird sogar in Hollywood aufgegriffen. Der Film The King's Speech' gewann im Jahr 2011 vier Academy Awards und handelt von dem englischen Knig George VI., der durch eine unkonventionelle Rhetoriktherapie von seinem Stottern geheilt wird und fortan bei ffentlichen Reden glnzt. Entstanden im 5. Jahrhundert vor Christi, ist die Rhetorik bis heute noch ein wichtiger Bestandteil politischer oder juristischer Reden und auch Predigten. Diese Hausarbeit befasst sich mit der Neujahrspredigt der Theologin Margot Kmann, die sie am 01. Januar 2010 in der Frauenkirche in Dresden gehalten hat. Kmann nimmt den Leitvers der Jahreslosung als Anknpfungspunkt fr ihre Predigt und referiert in Anlehnung an den Anlass der Rede den Neujahrstag und somit den Jahreswechsels ber die Kluft zwischen der Hoffnung und Erwartung an ein neues Jahr und der Realitt. Sie skizziert diese Realitt auf einer individuellen und einer globalen Ebene und verweist auf Missstnde in der Gesellschaft. Mithilfe der Kraft, die aus dem Glauben an Gott geschpft werden kann, soll gehandelt werden, so ihr Appell. Auf die Geschichte der Rhetorik und ihre Hintergrnde soll in dieser Arbeit nicht eingegangen werden. Vielmehr werden einige fr eine Redeanalyse relevante Aspekte herausgegriffen, vorgestellt und in der Praxis der Analyse der Rede, die fr diese Arbeit als Basis gilt, angewendet.
