Fascinating combination of art jewelry and photography Portraying nature is a new approach to art jewelry Accompanies the exhibition at Bayerischer Kunstgewerbeverein, Mnchen (DE), February 19th April 2nd, 2016, and at The Gallery of Art in Legnica (PL), April 28th June 5th, 2016Mari Ishikawa sees a parallel world off the beaten track of everyday living that she wants to make visible with her art. Such counterworlds are discovered in photographs with long exposures, which are taken up in art jewelry. Together these pairings result in an overall picture that is almost mystical. Silver casts taken from nature are reborn as jewelry in combination with diamonds, pieces of charcoal, or paper. Thus Mari Ishikawa interrupts for a brief moment the flow of transience; a precious object is created that has been wrenched from the cycle of life and death to stand for itself and for the moment.Contents:Parallel with Nature. The Beauty of Jewellery (Monika Fahn), Mr White Hagi (Otto Knzli), Moonlight Shadow (Jorunn Veiteberg), Light as a Cloud. Deep as Light and Shade (Gabriella ZahariasDoff), Artists Biography.

Mari Ishikawa’s photos are out of this world! Each page feels like stepping into a different reality. I bought this as a gift for my sister, and she can’t stop raving about it. The print quality is top-notch too!

Beautiful photography book!
The imagery in 'Where Does the Parallel World Exist' is stunning! As a photography enthusiast, I really appreciate the unique perspective Mari Ishikawa brings. The layout is perfect for displaying her work, and I love flipping through it. Definitely a great addition to my collection!

A little disappointing
I was really excited about this book but found the images to be a bit repetitive after a while. The quality is good, but I expected a wider range of themes. It's nice but didn't meet my expectations.

Delivery issues but worth the wait
The book took longer to arrive than I expected, which was a bit frustrating. However, once I received it, I was amazed by the artwork. It's visually captivating, and I appreciate the thought that went into each shot. Just be prepared for a longer wait!

Not quite what I expected
I bought this photography book thinking it would have more text about the backgrounds of the images. Instead, it focuses heavily on visuals. While the photos are gorgeous, I was hoping for a bit more context. Still, it’s nice to have for inspiration!
