While the Miwok 'Mariposa County' stretches back ten millenia, the settlers' not quite 150 years...This is not a history of Mariposa Town or County but rather an anthology of unpublished and published articles about the people, animals, trees, a creek, park rangers, horses, dogs, cats, chickens, gold, a farrier, and ranch entrances.
