As a history buff, I enjoyed the depth of the plot and the character development. But I can see how the language might be a barrier for some readers. Still, it's a solid start to the series if you're into naval adventures.

The cover art on this novel is stunning, but I didn’t expect the writing style to be so challenging. It’s definitely a clever story, but it felt a bit out of my reach at times. Perhaps a second read will help me grasp it better!
