La enseanza de la matemtica, ha estado impregnada de un mecanicismo que la ha alejado de la cotidianidad del discente, desde una pedagoga tradicional que ha provocado rechazo y desconocimiento de utilidad y trascendencia de la ciencia. Desde una investigacin cualitativa y metodologa hermenutica se ha fundamentado epistemolgicamente la trada: Matemticacotidianidadpedagoga integral, en la relacin cienciavida y el clima cultural del presente. sta trada es un constructo que llama al rescate de la matemtica en el aula a travs del uso de los tres canales de aprendizaje, el dialogo como herramienta que lleva a la relacin sujetosujeto, donde el estudiante se apropia de su aprendizaje; rescatando para ello el amor y pasin por la ciencia, usando elementos de su cotidianidad y cultura. Se da otra mirada de la matemtica, un recorrido de la epistemologa de la matemtica y su enseanza a la luz de nuevas investigaciones que liberan las subjetividades y complejidad del individuo, se reconstruye el perfil del docente de matemtica, formado en historia y filosofa, semitica, psicologa, sociologa, didctica de la matemtica; y un ser ticocrtico de su praxis.
