Hiermit legen wir den abschlieenden Band unserer "Mathematik fr Informati ker" vor. Auch hier haben wir uns bemht soweit dies bei dem diesmal anspruchs volleren Stoff mglich ist den algorithmischen und konstruktiven Aspekt in den Vordergrund zu stellen. Die Stoffauswahl wurde u. a. dadurch bestimmt, da auch auf die Bedrfnisse der Informatiker mit technischen Nebenfchern eingegangen wurde so ist ein ausfhrliches Kapitel ber Funktionen mehrerer Vernderlicher entstanden, welches fr den "Nurinformatiker" erst in zweiter Linie interessant ist. Zum Inhalt: In Kapitel VII werden numerische Fragen aus der Linearen Algebra und der Analysis behandelt. Nach einer Einfhrung in die Gleitpunktarithmetik die nur bei der numerischen Behandlung von linearen Gleichungssystemen in Kapitel VII, 2 und der Fehlerabschtzung bei der Berechnung von Eigenwerten von Tridiagonalmatrizen in Kapitel VIII, 5 bentigt wird werden in 2 Feh lerabschtzungen fr die Lsung von linearen Gleichungssystemen bei Spaltenpivot suche und Totalpivotsuche hergeleitet. Unitre und orthogonale Matrizen werden in 3 eingefhrt; neben dem numerisch ungnstigen Orthogonalisierungsverfahren nach E. Schmidt wird in 4 die QRZerlegung einer Matrix nach Householder be handelt, und es wird auf die Anwendung dieser Zerlegung beim Lsen linearer Gleichungssysteme hingewiesen. Weitere Methoden zur Lsung von linearen Glei chungssystemen werden in Kapitel IX, 3 behandelt, nmlich das Gesamtschrittver fahren [ J acobiVerfahren] und das Einzelschrittverfahren [ GauSeidelVerfahren]. Zum Verstndnis der ersten 4 Paragraphen von Kapitel VII reichen die Kenntnisse aus Kapitel II aus.
