I bought the Maths: The Basics Functional Skills Edition for my son who's preparing for exams. It's clear and easy to understand, which he appreciates. The practice questions are really helpful to build his confidence!

As an adult returning to education, I found this functional skills book really useful. The context for real-life scenarios helps a lot. Be prepared for slow progress if it’s been a while since you did maths!

I like the layout of Maths: The Basics, but I found the number of examples lacking. Sometimes I felt lost without more practice problems to work through. It’s okay, but I expected more.
