Das Medienformat Soap ist formal in vielfltiger Weise medienwissenschaftlich aufgearbeitet. So wird auf seine Nhe zum Brgerlichen Trauerspiel abgehoben, seine mediale Beziehungsinszenierung und die hohe Dialoglastigkeit betont und auf Rezipientenebene die mediale Rythmisierung des Alltags durch Soaps konstatiert. Im vorliegenden Band wird auf der Basis aktueller Ergebnisse der Jugendforschung, der ethischen Theoriebildung und Konzepten der Medienkompetenzvermittelnder Deutschdidaktik das Rezeptionsverhalten Jugendlicher in Bezug auf Daily Soaps und die daran anschlieende konvergenten Metakommunikation untersucht. Im inhaltsanalytischen Zugriff wird deutlich, dass die Inhalte der Soap wertverhandelnd (Mikos) sind. Zudem zeigt sich, dass auch bei wertthematisierenden Medienangeboten Jugendliche nicht rein rezeptiv reagieren, sondern sich im Rahmen einer konvergenten Medienaneignung mit diesen Wertangeboten auseinandersetzen. Diese Erkenntnisse werden abschlieend in einem praktischen Modell zusammengefhrt, um zu zeigen, wie das Prferenzmediums Soap auch in einem wertorientierten Unterricht didaktisch sinnvoll eingesetzt werden kann.
