A partir del enfoque agregado para medir la satisfaccin, y especficamente del modelo del ndice Americano de Satisfaccin del Consumidor, se desarroll un modelo para explicar las variables que influyen sobre la satisfaccin de los usuarios de servicios en Mxico, as como el efecto de sta sobre la conducta del consumidor. Para cubrir este objetivo se dise un estudio no experimental transeccional correlacionalcausal. La investigacin comprendi cuatro tipos de servicios: tiendas departamentales, telefona celular, cines, transporte pblico. Mediante la modelacin con ecuaciones estructurales se construy el modelo de satisfaccin agregada, de acuerdo con el cual sta depende de la Calidad percibida, el Valor percibido y las Expectativas. La Satisfaccin por su parte tiene un efecto significativo sobre la Lealtad. A diferencia del modelo americano, en el mexicano no aparece la variable Expresin de quejas. La variable que ejerce la mayor influencia sobre la Satisfaccin es la Calidad percibida. A partir del modelo se desarroll un ndice para medir la satisfaccin de los usuarios, encontrndose que sta es mayor en las empresas privadas que en los organismos pblicos.
