Sie hebt sich stark von den Berichten ber Jesu ffentliches Wirken sowie seine Taten und seine Worte ab. Im Mittelpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit stehen das Interesse an einem Vergleich der Leidensgeschichte im Markus und Johannesevangelium und die Frage, wie das Leiden und Sterben Jesu gedeutet wird. Zunchst mssen die literarischen Bedingungen und Zusammenhnge zwischen den vier Evangelien geklrt und dabei besonders die beiden zu untersuchenden Evangelien in den Blick genommen werden. Bei der anschlieenden Analyse soll die Frage nach den Gemeinsamkeiten sowie Unterschieden der beiden Texte beantwortet und ihre besondere Literarizitt und Konzeption erarbeitet werden. Dabei liegt der Schwerpunkt besonders auf der Deutung der Person Jesu. Aufgrund der Lnge und Komplexitt der Erzhlungen ber das Leiden und Sterben Jesu im Markus und Johannesevangelium wird die Untersuchung dabei auf vier Abschnitte beschrnkt: Die Verhaftung Jesu (Mk 14,4352 und Joh 18,111), das Verhr vor dem Hohen Rat bzw. vor Hannas und die Verleugnung durch Petrus (Mk 14,5372 und Joh 18,1227), die Verhandlung vor Pilatus und die Verspottung Jesu durch die Soldaten (Mk 15,120a und Joh 18,2819,16a) und Kreuzigung und Tod Jesu (Mk 15,20b41 und Joh 19,16b30.
