Los aceros inoxidables dplex presentan una microestructura bifsica formada por austenita y ferrita. Esta caracterstica les confiere unas propiedades que ambas fases por separado no pueden alcanzar. Por este motivo, son cada da ms utilizados en mltiples sectores productivos como alternativa a los aceros tradicionales. Su aplicacin ms comn es como productos planos obtenidos por laminacin. Durante este proceso de conformado, ambas fases se alinean en la direccin de laminacin obtenindose una microestructura morfolgicamente anisotrpica. Esto resulta ser un inconveniente en la utilizacin industrial del material. El trabajo que se presenta se ha llevado a cabo con el fin de reducir en la medida de lo posible estas limitaciones. Para ello ha sido necesario realizar en primer lugar un estudio detallado del efecto de cada una de las etapas del proceso de fabricacin industrial sobre la microestructura y las propiedades mecnicas. A partir de estos resultados, se propone un proceso de fabricacin alternativo al actual que consigue la obtencin de aceros inoxidables dplex laminados con una mejora en su comportamiento mecnico.
