About the Author Jazz pianist, Andy Ostwald, performs in the San Francisco area and nowandagain on tour in the States and abroad. A teacher of jazz, blues, and rock piano for twenty years, he has also worked as an ensemble coach for the Berkeley Jazz Workshop, Oaktown Jazz Workshops, and the Feather River Youth Jazz Camp, and has conducted Music for Dancers workshops at the University of Santa Clara. Ostwald studied with jazz pianist Harold Mabern, classical pianist Sylvia Jenkins, and composer Lou Harrison.
