Se pretende demostrar que la memoria musical incide en la resolucin de problemas de entrenamiento auditivo en general y de transcripcin de dictados meldicos en particular. Se mide por medio de los intentos, nmero de repeticiones, tiempo de duracin, donde se evala la eficiencia y la eficacia. Fue una investigacin llevada a cabo con 24 estudiantes del primer ao del programa de Licenciatura en Msica de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Pedaggica Nacional, cuyo problema se encontraba en la falta de entrenamiento auditivo, en un nivel bsico, en el momento de ingreso a los estudios profesionales. El marco terico se bas principalmente en el pensamiento musical, la memoria auditiva con nfasis en la memoria ecoica, la escritura (audiacin) y la escucha (audicin). Como resultados de la investigacin se encontr que los estudiantes resuelven, con mayor facilidad, problemas de dictado musical entrenndose a su propio ritmo y en forma totalmente autnoma. Gracias al software, Audio_Fabio, la memoria musical ayud a desarrollar la competencia auditiva demostrando eficiencia y eficacia en la resolucin de transcripciones de dictados meldicos.
