Bill Mutton was born in Dalton, England in 1927. His early childhood was a simple one, filled with happy memories. Later, the depression and World War II brought with it periods of drama, sacrifice and tragedy. As a young man, Bill made the decision to emigrate to Australia where he joined the Royal Australian Navy. When he was decommissioned, his career as a Steam Engine Driver took him to many parts of Australia, from the Woomera Rocket Range in South Australia to where he finally settled in Biloela, Queensland where he worked at the Callide Power Station. From the 1960s until the late 1980s he was heavily involved with the Queensland Labor Party and the Union movement and is still very passionate about politics today. It is a snapshot of both life in England up until 1950 and Australias recent political and social history. He is a man of candour and oldfashioned values and this story encapsulates his life, thoughts and experiences over 80 years.

Honestly, I expected more from this autobiography. There were some cute moments, but overall it felt shallow and didn't really delve into Bill's life as much as I'd hoped. It also took longer than expected to arrive, which was frustrating. Not my favorite read.

A Heartfelt Journey Through Time
Bill Mutton's autobiography is a delightful read! His stories about growing up with 10 Pomeranians brought back so many fond memories. The way he paints his experiences is truly touching and I couldn't put it down. Definitely worth adding to your collection if you're a dog lover!

Charming but Lacked Depth
I enjoyed reading about Bill's adventures with his Poms, but I felt some parts were a bit repetitive. The anecdotes are cute, but I was hoping for a deeper exploration into his life and experiences. Still, it's a nice light read for dog enthusiasts!

Great Read, But Packaging Issues
The book arrived in good condition, but the packaging was a little battered. I love the stories about the 10 Pomeranians; they are adorable and heartwarming! Just wished it arrived without the dents and creases in the cover.
