This book provides a framework to guide mental health providers who work with refugees and immigrants.Nearly 70 million people today are refugees or forciblydisplaced migrants. More than half of them are children suffering from the effects of dislocation and violence. The book has some great information about working with refugee youth, but it took longer to arrive than I expected. That's my only complaint. The content is really practical and useful, especially in understanding trauma care frameworks. I’d still recommend it for its valuable insights.

I appreciate the framework presented in this book, but I wish it went into more depth on certain topics. The socioecological aspects are interesting, but I felt like some parts were too brief.
