This second book really builds on the first one. The political intrigue and philosophical discussions are engaging. I couldn't put it down! The writing is top-notch, and the new characters add so much to the narrative.

Not what I expected!
I was really looking forward to this read, but I found parts of it confusing and hard to follow. Some characters seemed to lack depth compared to the first book. Still, the world-building is impressive! Just a mixed bag for me.

A great continuation of the saga!
I loved diving back into the Dune universe with this second book in the trilogy. The character development is fantastic, and the plot twists kept me hooked from start to finish. If you enjoyed the first one, this is a must-read!

Interesting but a bit slow at times
Mentats of Dune has some really cool ideas and expands on the lore, but I felt like it dragged in a few chapters. Still, I got through it and liked how it linked to the first book, just not my favorite of the trilogy.
