There are many studies which describe the qualities of Bhitai as a great poet, Sufi and revolutionary thinker. Now, there is a need to explore new dimensions of his poetry and related to social, economic, educational and cultural aspects. This present study is one of attempts to unpack Bhitais metaphors and apply to the educational context of leadership. There are various notions of leadership used through metaphors in Bhitais poetry; head teachers and educational leaders of the institutions should be exposed to leadership trainings that help them to unpack new meanings through metaphors. It may help them for capacity building of their teachers and students for overall school improvement. The findings of study recommend teacher training programmes that develop teachers leadership skills through connecting contextual metaphoric notions of leadership used in Bhitais poetry with current educational discourse. These programmes will help teachers to become good educational leaders and practitioners to enhance student learning outcomes.
