Actualmente, el hombre enfrenta grandes retos en la bsqueda de sistemas de transformacin de la energa en forma ms eficiente y racional, situacin que lo ha obligado a enfocar su atencin en el uso de las energas alternativas. En esta obra se presentan los resultados de un trabajo de tesis doctoral, en el cual se presentan algunas de las metodologas del diagnstico termoeconmico de los sistemas energticos actuales. Se realiza una comparacin entre las principales metodologas del diagnstico termoeconmico y se aplican sobre un caso prctico de estudio. La aplicacin de estas metodologas de diagnstico permite detectar, cuantificar y valorar econmicamente las prdidas de energa de un sistema energtico.
