While I appreciated the insights on human migration in this book, I found some sections a bit too academic. It’s a great resource for understanding the deeper issues surrounding borders and bans, but prepare to take your time with it. Maybe not for everyone, but I got some good takeaways.

Disappointing Layout and Presentation
I was excited to read this book, but was let down by the layout—it felt chaotic and hard to follow at times. The content is great, but it would have been nice if it was presented in a more reader-friendly way. I expected more based on the title.

I just finished 'Open Hearts, Open Borders' and it really challenges your perspective on migration. The stories are moving and the message about humanity is so important, especially today. Definitely worth picking up if you want to expand your understanding of global issues.
