In dieser Studie sollen Antworten auf diese Fragen anhand eines Vergleiches des kanadischen und deutschen Schulsystems gegeben werden. Die Studie konzentriert sich vor allem auf Motive der Elementar und Sekundarschulen und verbindet historischdeskriptive mit empirischen Befunden. Nach einer an MehrEbenenModellen orientierten Analyse des jeweiligen Schulsystems, in der System, Schul und Unterrichtsmerkmale untersucht werden, erfolgt eine argumentative Identifikation von Aspekten des kanadischen Schulsystems, die im deutschen zu wenig oder gar nicht beachtet worden sind, und zur Integration von Kindern und Jugendlichen mit Migrationshintergrund Wesentliches beitragen. About the Author Lidia Crimu wurde 1981 in Rumnien geboren. Im Alter von 12 Jahren wanderte sie mit ihrer Familie nach Deutschland aus. 2009 schloss die Autorin das Lehramtsstudium in den Fchern Mathematik und Deutsch an der Universitt zu Kln sehr erfolgreich ab. Bereits whrend des Studiums legte sie ihren Schwerpunkt auf Deutsch als Zweitsprache und migrationspolitische Bildung. Ihr Werdegang und ihre Ttigkeit als studentische Hilfskraft und Tutorin am Institut fr Allgemeine Didaktik und Schulforschung bzw. dem Zentrum fr Internationale Beziehungen motivierten sie, sich der Thematik des vorliegenden Buches zu widmen. Zurzeit ist sie an der Grundschule Am Schwarzwasser in Bergheim, einer Schule mit einem sehr hohen Anteil an Kindern mit Migrationshintergrund, ttig.
