Here is a book that actually fills the gap between theory and application. Mining engineering students studying mine design and needing guidance in assembling a minedesign project will refer to this book over and over again. It is useful for industry professionals who require a minedesign reference book for daily use or, who wish to prepare for the professional engineers examination.Chapters include: Introduction, Mine Preplanning, Ventilation, Strata Control, Pumping and Drainage, Power Systems, Hoisting Systems, Rail and Belt Haulage Systems, RubberTired Haulage Systems, and Surface Extraction.

Mining Engineering Analysis, second edition is a fantastic reference for both students and seasoned professionals. The content is thorough, and the layout makes it easy to follow. I'll be using this book for years!

Useful but needs more examples
This book has solid information, but I wish there were more practical examples. Some chapters felt a bit dry. Still, it’s a decent guide for mining engineers. Just a little more hands-on insight would make it better.

Great resource for mining students
I got this second edition of Mining Engineering Analysis for my graduate course. The examples are clear, and the explanations really simplify complex topics. Definitely worth the investment for anyone serious about mining engineering!

Not as helpful as I hoped
I found this book to be lacking in depth compared to other resources I've used. Some sections were confusing and not well explained. I expected a lot more from a second edition. Disappointed with the clarity.
