Fast jeder besitzt heute mindestens ein Mobiltelefon. Telefonieren ist dabei, besonders bei den jngeren Nutzergruppen mehr und mehr durch andere Formen der Kommunikation verdrngt wurden. Am bekanntesten und meistgenutzten ist die SMS, also die Mglichkeit kurze Textnachrichten innerhalb des Mobilfunknetzes zu versenden. Doch wie ist ein gegenseitig Verstndnis innerhalb dieser asynchronen, stark vereinfachten rein Textbasierenden Kommunikation mglich? In der folgenden Hausarbeit werden smtliche empfangenden und ausgehenden SMS innerhalb eines Jahres im Hinblick auf das Verstehen bzw. Missverstehen der Textbotschaften analysiert. Der Schwerpunkt wird dabei auf eine primr linguistische textinterne Analyse gelegt. Textexterne Schwerpunkte, wie die Beziehung der Kommunikanten, der Kontext der SMS Kommunikation knnen im Rahmen dieser Hausarbeit leider nur marginal mit einbezogen werden. Im Folgenden werden zunchst die Begriffe Kommunikation' und SMS' definiert. Des weiteren wird kurz auf die Nutzung des Mobiltelefons sowie der Kommunikation per SMS eingegangen. Die Nutzung der SMS unterliegt, wie jede Kommunikatform, bestimmten Regeln, folglich ist es unvermeidlich kurz auf die unterschiedlichen Motive und somit Funktion der SMS einzugehen. Im Anschluss wird der Untersuchungskorpus vorgestellt und anhand ausgewhlter Beispiele werden sprachliche Mittel, die der Verstndlichkeit der Textbotschaft dienen, definiert und an Beispielen des Untersuchungskorpus belegt.
