This 2004 hardback monograph is a study of the paintings of Mitchell Johnson over the past fifteen years. It is 64 pages long and the cover painting, Two Umbrellas, appears in Season 3 of Revenge. Peter Campion offers insight into the breadth of Johnson's work. The book features over 50 color plates and is available only at Amazon. Mitchell Johnson is well known for his modernist landscapes of Europe and Cape Cod. For more than 25 years, he has simultaneously produced colorfield paintings which explore the emotional and psychological content of color. Johnson was a 2007 artist in residence at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. He completed his MFA in painting at Parsons School of Design in New York in 1990 where he studied with many former students of Hans Hofmann: Paul Resika, Jane Freilicher, Leland Bell, Nell Blaine, John Heliker and Robert De Niro, Sr.
