About the Author Dr. Sighard Neckel ist Universittsprofessor fr Allgemeine Soziologie und Analyse der Gegenwartsgesellschaft an der Universitt Wien. Zugleich ist er Mitglied der Leitung des Instituts fr Sozialforschung in Frankfurt am Main. Dr. HansGeorg Soeffner ist emeritierter Professor der Soziologie an der Universitt Konstanz und seit 2007 Vorsitzender der Deutschen Gesellschaft fr Soziologie (DGS).
