The book is concerned with investigation and characterisation of mixed mode fracture in bonded joints and will consider both quasistatic and cyclic loading. In order to achieve, a wide range of experimental conditions, a suitable test geometry has been developed, it will be used to investigate crack growth in joints based on a commercial FM73 adhesive. The experimental results will be analysed using appropriate closedform and finiteelementbased analysis. This work should then lead to constitutive relations that describe the adhesive behaviour under mixed mode conditions.
