Der Schwerpunkt des Buchs liegt auf einer empirischen Untersuchung zum Teilnehmerfeld von mnnerspezifischen Angeboten. Hier werden neben der Zusammensetzung der teilnehmenden Mnner auch deren Motive ins Blickfeld genommen. Ebenso werden der Proze der Kontaktaufnahme und die Rolle des Umfelds einer Betrachtung unterzogen. Schlielich beschreibt der Autor Kriterien fr "mnnerspezifische Niedrigschwelligkeit". Er leitet daraus Ansatzpunkte fr eine Senkung der Zugangsschwellen zu den entsprechenden Angeboten ab, die auch als Anregungen fr die praktische Arbeit dienen knnen.
