Wie stehen die sozialpdagogischen Profis in der Arbeit mit auch gewaltbereiten mnnlichen Jugendlichen selber zu den Themen Mnnlichkeit, Autoritt und Macht in ihrer Lebensgeschichte und ihrem beruflichen Handeln? Wie reflektiert gehen sie mit diesen wichtigen Themen in ihrer pdagogischen Arbeit um? Matthias Rudlof hat mnnliche Jugendsozialarbeiter zu ihrer Lebensgeschichte und ihrer pdagogischen Arbeit mit Jungen und jungen Mnnern befragt. Mit Methoden der sozialwissenschaftlichen Biografieforschung und der Diskurspsychologie wertet er ihre Erzhlungen aus. Darauf aufbauend entwickelt er fhrende sozialwissenschaftliche Mnnlichkeitstheorien kreativ weiter, in denen er die Wirklichkeiten der erzhlten Lebens und Handlungsgeschichten in ihrer Komplexitt zur Geltung bringt. Als ein zentrales Thema der untersuchten Gruppe der Jugendsozialarbeiter zeigt sich der zum Teil schwierige Umgang mit Milieuunterschieden in der eigenen Biografie wie auch in der Arbeit mit Jugendlichen benachteiligter sozialer und ethnischer Milieus.
