Este libro plantea un anlisis institucional para el estudio de la integracin comercial entre Mxico y la Unin Europea. Se plantea y desarrolla un modelo de anlisis institucional que compara flujos comerciales, las polticas comerciales de las dos regiones, diversos aspectos econmicos y sociales, as como los principales actores pblicos y privados que interactan en el comercio bilateral. Se presentan comparativos de calidad institucional de ndole econmica y de gobernanza. La investigacin sugiere que existe una relacin entre la calidad institucional y los flujos comerciales. Por ello se plantean diversos elementos institucionales que incorporados en las polticas comerciales permitirn transitar a una poltica de integracin comercial. Se enfatiza as mismo la importancia de mejorar los niveles de calidad institucional.
