La Teora de las Inteligencias Mtiples (I.M) en el contexto educativo, supone diferentes formas de ensear y aprender. Por esto el presente estudio se plante como propsito generar un modelo terico didctico centrado en las Inteligencias Mltiples para lograr la competencia comunicativa en Ingls. A tal efecto, se desarroll una investigacin de campo de carcter descriptivo enmarcada, epistemolgicamente en el enfoque cualitativo, con un abordaje fenomenolgicohermenutico. La interaccin entre la autora y los actores sociales se realiz a travs de entrevistas en profundidad y la observacin participante. El modelo en cuestin se caracteriza, entre otras cosas, por sus tres componentes: humano, comunicacional y contextual. Los hallazgos aportados por el estudio evidencian un proceso de enseanza mecanicista y repetitivo por lo que se concluye que el aprendizaje del Ingls, como accin mental, es desestimado.
