This book is a particularly fine example of late Leroy Neiman. As you would expect, there are cars, racing cars, fast colorful cars. However, Neiman is more interested in the event itself, the hoopla and decadence of Monte Carlo, the "glitzkreig." Released by Alfred Van Der Marck large format, square hardback with an extrathick dustcover; cloth over boards with a sewn binding; 123 pp; color illustrations throughout; small mounted plate to front cover. With a profile of the artist, some lovely sketches and roughedout Neiman pieces, and about 40 pages of evocative, personal, travel writing from the artist.
